  • Take stock of what worked, what didn’t in reaching your goals
  • Think in terms of increments — increments of focused and intentional time that made the difference in the long-term outcome
  • And join us Jan. 12 for a whole new slate of Uncommon Hours classes to keep your writing on track

I’m known for my intention rituals — so much so that my sister Shirley is insisting on reserving time with me as we close out the year for a Zoom call and my dear friend Maureen (who is my “heart” big sister) is reaching out to me, too. When I told Shirley I was writing a book on Uncommon Hours, the online class for writers who want to design and de-stressify the writing life, which I have taught the past two years, Shirley expressed gratitude. “I guess I’ve been getting a master class all these years!”

When I look back over my life — my creative life and the life I’ve designed — it’s clear that I have a knack for dreaming it and doing it. It’s a combination of intentionality and sustained focus, creative visualization and a joy for manifestation. I like dreaming of things. I like accomplishing those things. If I can dream it, I want it to happen. I want to dream it, and I want to live it, too.
